St. Helena Island native Candice Glover will perform in the Top 5 on "American Idol," which airs from 8 to 9 p.m. tonight on Fox.
Each contestant will perform two songs with two different themes. The first theme is a "song from the year you were born." Glover's will be from 1989. The second theme is "divas," which is fitting because all the members of the Top 5 are women.
Glover will find out whether she advances to the Top 4 during the results show, which airs from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday on Fox.
Last week, Glover's performance of The Cure's "Lovesong" received rave reviews. Watch it again:
