A new generation

info@islandpacket.comApril 16, 2013

Three generations of the Lipsitz family of Beaufort attended the opening ceremonies, as Beaufort High School senior Adam Lipsitz was introduced as a Heritage Classic Foundation Scholar.

The family that ran a store on Bay Street for 107 years will send Adam to Clemson University to study computer or electrical engineering.

Family matriarch Lucille Lipsitz was joined by her daughter Judy Thornberry and Adam's parents, Neil and Michele Lipsitz.

Lucille Lipsitz said that since the store closed, she stays busy but doesn't get anything done.
