Davina Najiah Frazier, a University of South Carolina Beaufort senior, has been named a 2013 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact.

Frazier, who will receive degrees in human services and business administration in May, is one of 181 college students nationwide to be named a fellow, an award based on civic engagement, according to a USCB news release.

Frazier will graduate with 600 hours of service, exceeding requirements for her degrees. Those include working at the Jasper County Boys & Girls Club; helping working families and individuals fill out their tax forms at no cost; and volunteering at Beaufort Elementary School.
