Stop tilting at windmills on Affordable Care Act

info@islandpacket.comApril 12, 2013

Concerning the bill in the General Assembly that would declare the federal Affordable Care Act unconstitutional, didn't the Supreme Court rule on the constitutionality of the tax and the federal government's supremacy in such matters?

Help me understand what the legislature is trying to do here, except spend more taxpayer money on a hopeless cause.

Whether or not you like the Affordable Care Act, (I do not), it is the law of the land, and it was passed by both houses of Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court. When I read Article Six of the Constitution, it seems pretty clear to me that it gives the federal courts jurisdiction here. Am I missing something, or is this just political theater?
