Absentee voting precincts to open

Absentee-voting precincts for the May 7 special election for the 1st Congressional District will open Monday in Beaufort and Bluffton.

In-person absentee voting will be conducted at the precincts between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Beaufort location will be open until 5 p.m. May 6.

The Beaufort precinct is at 15 John Galt Road; the Bluffton precinct is at 61-B Ulmer Road.

Voters are required to bring an S.C. driver's license, photo ID issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles, voter registration card with photo, U.S. passport or federal military ID.
