Randy Jackson ranked Candice Glover's "American Idol" performance Wednesday night among the best ever.

"Let me say on behalf of my judges up here that was one of the greatest performance in the history, in the 12 years, of American Idol," the judge told Glover after her performance of The Cure's "Lovesong."

Competing in the Top 6 on the show, the St. Helena Island native selected the song as part of the theme "Songs I Wish I'd Written."

It was Glover's second performance of the night. She also sang Dionne Warwick's "Don't Make Me Over" for the first theme of the night, the Burt Bacharach and Hal David songbook.

"This is what you were born to do," judge Nicki Minaj said. "You didn't have to learn to do this. You were born to do this."

Voting opened at the end of the show. Glover will find out Thursday night if she advances to the Top 5 during the results show, which airs from 8 to 9 p.m. on Fox.

"This girl is in it to win it for sure," Jackson said.
