Book fair to benefit Born to Read at Beaufort Memorial Hospital

"Books Are Fun Book Fair," benefiting Born to Read, will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 9 and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital cafeteria, 955 Ribaut Road.

Born To Read is a local nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy. Trained volunteers visit new parents in the birthing centers at Beaufort Memorial Hospital and Hilton Head Hospital with a gift bag containing two books for the baby, a bib, a shirt and other items.
