Did we learn nothing from Sanford's tenure?

info@islandpacket.comApril 8, 2013

It was enlightening to see that South Carolina voters have voted to allow Mark Sanford to run for the vacant congressional seat.

Over the past few years, he has proved repeatedly how trustworthy he can be and how much consideration he has for his constituents while in an elected office.

Maybe he can do more of the same while he is in Congress supposedly representing South Carolina and her residents in Washington. We will probably get what we deserve by putting him into another highly responsible position.

It seems sometimes that American citizens never learn from history.
