The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery Thursday on North Forest Beach.

An 18-year-old man told authorities he was robbed at gunpoint at about 10 p.m. by two unknown black men and a Hispanic female.

The victim, who is vacationing on Hilton Head Island, said that he and a female friend departed their hotel at about 9:30 p.m. to put gas in their vehicle. The friend stayed at the gas station while he walked across the street to meet with a woman from whom he had arranged to buy marijuana.

While the victim waited, a white older-model Honda Accord driven by that woman pulled into the parking lot. Then, two men pulled the victim into the back of the car, pointed a gun at his face and emptied his pockets.

The men took a cellphone and cash from the victim, pushed him out of the car, and drove away. The victim was not harmed.

The suspects were described as dark-skinned black men between the ages of 20 and 25. One is about 6-feet tall, 160 pounds. The other is about 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. The woman driving the car was Hispanic, about 18 to 20 years old, 5-3, 120 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact either Investigator Cpl. D. Seifert at 843-255-3414 or Crimestoppers at 888-274-6372.
