VIDEO: Despite broken toe, Candice Glover shines on 'American Idol'

Candice Glover broke her toe.

While playing an April Fools' prank on fellow "American Idol" contestant Lazaro Abos, the St. Helena Island native stumbled against a door. But that didn't stop her from marching onto the "Idol" stage Wednesday night in high-heels and performing the Rolling Stones classic "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."

"That's what you get for trying to play that trick on Lazaro," judge Nicki Minaj said. "Lazaro's got special powers."

"Baby, how much is your toe hurting right now?" judge Keith Urban asked after Glover's performance.

"I can't even tell you," said a laughing Glover.

"I can feel your pain from here, and it sort of negated what I was going to say, which was about moving around on the stage more," Urban said. "Because your voice is so freaking good. You just wail it up with so much power."

The judges seem to be running out of ways to tell Glover how good she is.

"What else am I going to say about your voice? Your voice is amazing," Minaj said. "I've run out of words to describe your voice."

"It's mesmerizing to just watch you up on the stage and to just see it evolve and see what happens next," judge Mariah Carey said.

The theme this week was "classic rock, no ballads." It made Glover nervous.

"I wasn't sure at first. I was like, 'okay, this is not my thing at all,'" Glover said in a phone interview this week.

But the 23 year old had what the judge Randy Jackson says rock n' roll is all about.

"Rock is really about attitude," Jackson said. "We know you've got this big voice ... you brought that girth, that rock, that attitude."

Glover will find out Thursday night if she advances to the Top 6 when the results show airs from 8-9 p.m. on Fox.
