Beaufort County Teacher of the Year Erin Reichert from Bluffton High School and Hampton 1 Teacher of the Year Susie Laffitte from Ben Hazel Primary School read one of the books donated to their schools to Reichert's daughter Annie.

Dozens of books were given to three area Teachers of the Year by the Beaufort Bojangles' on Tuesday.

Beaufort County Teacher of the Year Erin Reichert, Allendale County Teacher of the Year Annette Washington-Wright and Hampton 1 Teacher of the Year Susie Laffitte were given the books. Reichert and Laffitte attended the event.

The donation is one of 14 planned for this year; in total nearly 3,000 books will be given in honor of school districts' Teachers of the Year.

It's part of the restaurant chain's ongoing partnership with South Carolina Future Minds, a nonprofit organization designed to support teachers. This is the fourth year Bojangles' has donated books; since 2010, more than 12,000 books have been given to public schools across the state.
