Live burn, sprinkler demonstration set

The Beaufort County Fire Chief's Association and the S.C. State Residential Sprinkler Coalition will conduct a live burn of two identical rooms to demonstrate the value of home sprinkler systems.

The demonstration is scheduled for noon April 6 in the Cross Creek Shopping Plaza parking lot at 330 Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort.

Free kids games and information will also be provided from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of "Kids Fest" to celebrate child safety, Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Month of the Military Child.
