Hilton Head Island Elementary School grateful for support of Pi Day

info@islandpacket.comMarch 30, 2013

The faculty and staff at Hilton Head Island Elementary School would like to thank our parents, volunteers and local businesses for their support of Pi Day. Eating pies was just one way students celebrated March 14. The schoolwide event was celebrated starting at 1:59 p.m., since the value of Pi begins with 3.14159.

We at Hilton Head Island Elementary would like to express our appreciation to the following local businesses for showing their support of our Pi Day celebration with the donations of pies: Bi-Lo, French Bakery and Courtyard, French Kiss Bakery, Harris Teeter, Publix, The Fresh Market, Sam's Club, Signes Heaven Bound Bakery and Café, and Walmart.

Our Pi Day would not have been possible without the pies, also supplied by Hilton Head Island Elementary parents and the PTA.

It is occasions like this that brings out the strong sense of community and cooperation at Hilton Head Island Elementary School -- A World School.
