Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island seeks scholarship applicants

The Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island is seeking applicants for the Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Global Grant Scholarships.

The scholarships can be used to fund graduate study abroad in six areas: peace and conflict prevention/resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water and sanitation; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and economic and community development.

The minimum grant of $30,000 may be used to cover tuition and fees, transportation, living expenses and language training.

Applicants must be scheduled to graduate from college by fall 2014 for consideration in the 2014-15 academic year. Grants will be awarded competitively at the district level (eastern half of South Carolina).

Deadline is April 1 locally and at the district level June 1.
