More federal 'intrusion' welcome in some cases

State Rep. Andy Patrick complains about an "intrusive" federal government, an attitude consistent with the members of Congress who voted explicitly to deny the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate compounders of pharmaceuticals.

I am sure the victims of fungal meningitis from contaminated products made at the New England Compounding Center (and the families of the five dozen who have died so far) would have welcomed a little more "intrusiveness" into the center's operation than Patrick's ideological soulmates allowed them.
