HELP of Beaufort thankful for Coastal Community Foundation grant

info@islandpacket.comMarch 22, 2013

The officers and board of directors of HELP of Beaufort are most grateful that the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina for approving our request for a grant.

With the economy in a spiral, our program would be helpless without assistance to aid in helping with utility bills, rent and prescriptions; procuring meals for homebound people; and helping with day-to-day problems, where necessary.

We receive no United Way or governmental assistance, with the exception of our Mobile Meals manager who receives a stipend from United Way. We depend on churches, organizations, individual contributions and grants to support our programs.

Therefore, this grant of $12,000 will help tremendously in our attempt to alleviate need in our community.
