Family Promise of Beaufort County thankful for donation from The Bargain Box

Family Promise of Beaufort County greatly appreciates the generous donation The Bargain Box awarded our organization. The money will be used to help homeless families solve their transportation challenges.

There are more than 200 homeless children in Beaufort County. Reliable transportation is often the greatest obstacle to overcome when helping families move back into a home of their own. Thanks to The Bargain Box, the parents of the homeless children in Family Promise's program have a solution to their transportation woes and can move into permanent housing quicker.

The Bargain Box was established in 1965 as a low-cost shopping alternative for Hilton Head Island workers, residents and visitors, and maintains that tradition by offering gently used, donated goods at bargain prices in its thrift shop. The volunteer-run nonprofit thrift store donates its proceeds and in-kind items to social services agencies in Beaufort County.

Family Promise is a donor and volunteer-driven nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide shelter to homeless children and their families while equipping them with the skills and resources to return to stable housing.
