A 44-year-old man was charged with indecent exposure outside the Wardle Family YMCA on Wednesday, according to the Port Royal Police Department.

The man was driving away when police arrived at about 2 p.m. He was stopped for failing to yield to traffic, police said.

The man at first denied being at the YMCA and then said he had urinated behind Dumpsters there, police said.

A witness said she saw the man expose himself. A cup the suspect said was filled with an energy drink and vodka also was found in the SUV, police said.
