There was big news Wednesday at the annual media day for the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf at the Westin Savannah Harbour Golf Resort & Spa.
And it wasn't that Lonestar will be playing the free concert this year.
Two of golf's most decorated and beloved players, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, will team up to play in the Champions Tour event to be held April 22-28.
The duo will play in the Demaret Division, reserved for players 70 and older. The Demaret Division plays on Monday and Tuesday of tournament week, and admission is free for those days.
"I don't play competitively any more, but I still like to compete and there is nothing I will enjoy more than doing so with my longtime friend Gary Player as a partner," Nicklaus said in a release read by Legends of Golf executive director Joe Rotellini. "Last May, Gary andd I reunited with Arnold (Palmer) for a one-day event as part of the Insperity Championship in Houston, and we had a great time. After that event, Gary and I talked about getting together in the Liberty Mutual, and here we are.
"Because I don't play much golf these days, I don't know how good the golf will be, but I can promise you that Gary and I will have a good time. I look forward to it."
Nicklaus has 120 professional wins, 18 major championships and is one of five players to win golf's career Grand Slam. His last action in the Legends of Golf was in 2001, and this is his first time competing in the Demaret Division.
Player has 165 professional wins, nine major championships and a career Grand Slam. Along with Bob Charles, he won the 2009 and 2010 Demaret titles.
"Legends of Golf is one of my favorite tournaments to compete in each year, and to have my good friend Jack Nicklaus as a partner this year is a delight," Player said in a release.

In addition to Nicklaus and Player, the names of several other commitments to the Legends Division of the 2013 Legends of Golf were released Wednesday. They were 2012 champions Michael Allen and David Frost, 2011 champs David Egan and Mark McNulty, 2010 champs Mark O'Meara and Nick Price, 2009 champs Bernhard Langer and Tom Lehman, 2008 champs Tom Watson and Andy North and 2013 rookies Steve Elkington and Rocco Mediate.
The Demaret Division champs from 2012 -- Gabby Gilbert and JC Snead -- and the Raphael Division champs from 2012 -- Mark James and Des Smyth -- will return, as well.
