The Farmers Market of Bluffton kicks off new season

Posted on March 20, 2013

Spring is here, and the Farmers Market of Bluffton is celebrating with a special event Thursday (March 21). This marks the time of year when the market extends its hours (2 to 7 p.m. each Thursday in Old Town). But this Thursday, there’s a bit more going on than the usual food, friends and entertainment.

From a release:

“This family friendly Market showcases farm fresh local produce, delicious prepared foods, local entertainment, local community causes and local community information. The Market is located in downtown Historic Bluffton at the Carson Cottages, on the corner of Calhoun Street and Lawrence Street.
The season kickoff will include a chef demonstration by Chef Matt Jording of the Old Town Dispensary and the Sage Room, complimentary chair massages by Spa Vino on Calhoun, Little Growers children's program brought to you by Savannah Hydroponics & Organics, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., prizes and drawings by Zip Line of Hilton Head, Le Creuset and the Market. Our community outreach will include Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) Potters, Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, and Clemson Extension Master Gardeners.  Live music by Bill DuPont the Blues Man.
As a favorite of locals and visitors alike, we welcome everyone to join us this Thursday, March 21, 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the season kickoff.”
