Candice Glover will perform again tonight on "American Idol." The St. Helena Island native will perform a song based on this week's theme, "Lennon-McCartney Songbook and The Beatles."
The show starts at 8 p.m. on Fox, and voting will open immediately after the show ends at 10 p.m. Viewers can vote online, or by calling or texting numbers that will be announced during the show.
Glover will find out if she advances to the Top 8 during the results show that airs from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Glover's growing stardom is reflected in her social media presence. She has been consistently gaining followers on Twitter, averaging 1,800 per day since becoming a finalist on "Idol" in late February.
That presence is largely due to the fact that she makes a point to interact with her fans online, and even feels guilty when she doesn't have time to respond to everyone.
On Sunday, she posted on her American Idol Facebook page, "Hey guys I just wanna say I try my best to interact with you all whether its (Facebook) or Twitter... I read all messages & posts but it's hard to reply to them all. Just please understand that I love each of you so much and I'm grateful to have you on this journey with me."
Feautures reporter Laura Oberle will be tweeting during tonight's show at @IPBG_Laura. Check back with The Beaufort Gazette and The Island Packet for update's on Glover's performance.
