National conservative leader endorses Grooms

Phyllis Schlafly, a national leader of the conservative movement, best selling author and founder of the Eagle Forum, endorsed Sen. Larry Grooms, R-Berkeley, for the 1st District seat Friday.

Schlafly said: "I have dedicated most of my life to fighting for the conservative movement. That fight continues today -- and I am happy to endorse Larry Grooms for the U.S. Congress in the First District of South Carolina and wish him every success."
