More than 2,000 people are expected to take to the streets at 9 a.m. April 13 for the American Heart Association's Low Country Heart Walk at Coligny Plaza on Hilton Head Island.

The Heart Walk is a noncompetitive, 5K fundraiser with teams from local companies and community groups. Money raised supports research, public health programs and community education to fight heart disease and stroke.
