The sixth annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Fest, sponsored by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation, is set to take place from 5 to 8 p.m. April 5 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 6 at Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island.

The Friday night component will feature live entertainment from Cranford & Sons as well as food from several local restaurants. Seafood Fest will continue on Saturday and feature more than a dozen restaurants dishing up seafood specialties and an "Iron Chef"-style competition. The Headliners will perform.

The event is the foundation's primary fundraising with money going to American Cancer Society, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center and the Island Recreation Scholarship Fund.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for kids younger than 12.
