Five players each from Battery Creek and Ridgeland-Hardeeville high schools were named to the All-Region 6-AA basketball teams by the region's coaches.
For the boys, three Battery Creek players -- junior Yuneek Crittendon, sophomore DeVontae Wilson and freshman Adonis Williams -- made the squad, joined by two Jaguars -- juniors Terrance Frazier and Charles Mitchell.
On the girls side, three Ridgeland-Hardeevile girls -- Aaliyah Hill, Jayme Chisholm and Nyjae Boozer -- made the team, joined by two Dolphins -- Daisja Cannon and Erica Alston.
SOCCER RANKINGS
The Hilton Head Island High girls soccer team remains atop the S.C. Class 3-A rankings, while the boys team is No. 3.
Other ranked area SCHSL teams are the Beaufort High boys (4-A No. 12) and the Ridgeland-Hardeeville boys (2-A No. 10).
Among area SCISAA teams, Hilton Head Prep's boys and girls teams are No. 3 in Class 3-A. In 2-A/1-A, Beaufort Academy's girls are No. 3, while the boys are No. 5.
JV DIAMOND CLASSIC
The Beaufort High JV baseball team went undefeated to win Hilton Head Island High's JV Diamond Baseball Tournament earlier this month. The tournament also featured teams from Bluffton and Savannah Christian.
