Published: March 14, 2013

Candidate Curtis Bostic is reminding voters of the summer he spent on Parris Island in 1987, earning his way into the ranks of the U.S. Marine Corps. He later served in Operation Desert Storm.

Bostic is seeking campaign support from Marines and veterans.

In a recent Republican forum in Sun City, Bostic spoke of the need for a strong military and the importance of fulfilling obligations to veterans.

Bostic's weekend schedule includes three appearances Saturday:

  • Rally at noon at Beaufort Town Center campaign headquarters

  • Early afternoon visits to neighborhoods throughout Beaufort County.
  • 2 to 4 p.m. AMVETS, 1831 Ribaut Road, Port Royal
