Candidate Teddy Turner is inviting residents of Hilton Head Island and surrounding areas to a town hall meeting for teachers and families from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Island Recreation Center.

Lunch will be provided by the campaign, and the event is open to the public. Later in the evening, a private reception will be hosted for Turner in the Belfair community of greater Bluffton.

Turner campaigned Thursday in downtown Beaufort.
