Beaufort County Councilman Stu Rodman has endorsed Rep. Andy Patrick, R-Hilton Head Island, for the 1st Congressional District.

"I am excited to endorse Andy Patrick for Congress. Andy has exactly the type of Lowcountry values we need in Washington, a dose of fiscal restraint and individual responsibility," Rodman said in a statement. "He has the character we need in a leader and will make Beaufort County proud as our representative in Congress."

Rodman is a founding partner in a private investment firm and has served on the governor's Commission on Management, Accountability and Performance and the S.C. education superintendent's Task Force on School Funding.
