The Old Commons Neighborhood Association in Beaufort will celebrate its 10th anniversary today with the dedication of a marker in honor of its first chairman and founding member, John Gettys Smith.
The marker will be dedicated at 5:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Prince Street, next to the tree that was planted in Smith's memory two years ago.
