Starting next week, the county's Park and Leisure Services activity centers in Beaufort and Port Royal will have new hours.

The Charles Lind Brown Activity Center, at 1001 Hamar St. in Beaufort, will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Port Royal Community and Art Center, at 1514 Richmond Ave., will be open 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The decision to change the hours was made Thursday at a PALS board meeting, according to a news release from the county.

The changes will not affect the Circle of Hope Coalition that operates out of the Beaufort center from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

Both centers will honor any programming currently scheduled.
