I agree with the recent letter about drivers wrongly using the left lane.
When a person blocks the left lane on the highway, it increases the danger to themselves and other drivers in three ways.
In the left lane, they are closer to oncoming traffic and unable to avoid a head-on collision by going off the road to the right. They irritate the drivers behind them, causing them to follow too closely. They may block a driver who has a medical emergency.
Listen up, S.C. Highway Patrol. They deserve a ticket.
