Old electronics gathering dust and important documents that should be shredded can be disposed of from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at two sites May 11 during Beaufort County's electronics recycling and shredding event.
State law now prohibits dumping electronic items at the landfill or disposing them at convenience centers. This event is taking place at 140 Shanklin Road near the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort and at 9 Benton Field Road off Burnt Church Road in Bluffton.
