Attorneys for the Beaufort County School District and superintendent-select Jeffrey Moss were still negotiating contract terms Monday.

Board of Education Chairman Bill Evans said the attorneys were reviewing documents exchanged Saturday and continued to express his optimism that Moss will be under contract soon.

Moss has said he is inclined to accept the offer if his lawyer can negotiate an acceptable contract.
