Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry announces that the winner of the Cooks & Books People's Choice Award is the Chart House on Hilton Head Island. The prize-winning tasting was called Crab Parfait. The Westin's Executive Chef Ed Connors won the Chefs' Competition and was named Best Under Fire.
More than 800 people attended the event March 3 that featured 18 local restaurants along and 17 Lowcountry authors.
