The Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District responded to a fire at a mobile home on the 400 block of Seaside Road in St. Helena around noon, Saturday. The home was unoccupied and appeared to be empty at the time of the fire, according to Lee Levesque, public information officer for the Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District. The blaze destroyed the home and caught about two acres of surrounding brush on fire. The fire has been put out, said Levesque. He said it is unclear if the fire started in the home or brush, but it did not appear to be intentionally set. The 400 block of Seaside Road has been blocked and is expected to remain blocked for another 45 minutes, Levesque said.
