World's Largest Yard Sale set for March 16

After Makya West, left, found a toy turtle to play with, his sister Cheyne found an even better faux reptile - a dinosaur hand puppet. The finds came at the 2011 World's Largest Yard Sale at Hilton Head Island High School.

Hilton Head Island High School and The Island Packet will host the World's Largest Yard Sale on March 16 in the school parking lot.

Admission to the event, which will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 70 Wilborn Road, is free. Exhibitor spaces are $55.

Yard-sale applications can be found at islandpacket.com/yardsale. The event benefits Hilton Head High.
