SUN CITY SOFTBALL TEAM GOES 2-2 IN FLORIDA

The Sun City Travel Softball went 2-2 on a recent trip to Central Florida, defeating active adult communities Stonecrest and Summerglenn while losing twice to Spruce Creek.

Rick Dory batted .812 with two home runs, and Don Feldkamp led the team with 12 RBIs and five home runs in the tournament, held Feb. 23-24. Ken Abshier added three homers and nine RBIs, and Doug Baker collected nine hits and scored 10 runs.

Dennis Jackson and Tom DaParma had 10 hits apiece, and Bob Lee and John Heere each had eight hits.

Lee and Mike Coriale earned pitching wins for Sun City.
