Creator had nothing to say about AR-15s

A Feb. 28 letter made a case against prohibiting modern firearms, such as the semi-automatic AR-15.

"Prohibiting these types of arms and their corresponding accessories," the gentleman wrote, "would be a direct infringement of our constitutional right. ... A right that is not legislated to us, but is endowed to us by our creator."

I know that our creator has endowed us with the Ten Commandments. I don't recall that one of them was: "Thou shalt own AR-15s and/or any firearm that shoots multiple rounds per minute."

I do recall that the creator did say: "Thou shalt not kill."
