The Blue Angels will not appear at this year's air show at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort on April 27-28, according to a message on the Navy jet team's Facebook page.

A message on the page Monday said "the Navy intends to cancel Blue Angel performances scheduled in April as an outcome of the budget cuts resulting from sequestration." Three other appearances for the month were canceled along with the Beaufort air show.

The message adds that the Blue Angels continue to train, "so that if the decision to cancel the April shows is reversed, the team can continue to perform and inspire future generations of sailors and Marines."
