Beaufort County Sheriff seeking suspect in armed robbery of Burton business

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is seeking tips in a Friday armed robbery of a Burton business.

People's Choice Insurance on Parris Island Gateway was robbed just before 5 p.m., according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

Two employees told deputies that an unknown man entered the office carrying a handgun and demanding money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the store. No one was harmed.

The man was last seen running down Falls Road toward Bonaire Circle. He is described as a black male, approximately 5' 9" and 220 lbs. He was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt with a blue emblem on the back, blue jeans and a black skeleton mask.
