WRESTLING
North/South All-Star Matches: The South's 4-A/1-A team won the championship of the annual North/South All-Star wrestling matches in North Myrtle Beach, defeating the South 3-A/2-A team Saturday, 46-41.
The final match of the event decided the outcome, as Bluffton's Austin Farmer clinched the win with a 5-4 decision over two-time state Class 3-A champion Chris Bloch of Dreher. Farmer finished the weekend with a 2-1 record.
Also part of the South 4-A/1-A championship were Beaufort High's Codrian Smalls, Clint Wright, Tyler Wilson and Trey Arant. Smalls and Wright were 2-0 on the weekend, Wilson was 1-1 and Arant finished 0-2.
Hilton Head Island High's Label Lewis and Battery Creek's DeAndre Johnson both won matches Saturday in the losing effort for the South 3-A/2-A team. They both went 2-0 this weekend.
GIRLS SOCCER
Hilton Head Island High School: The Seahawks opened their season at the annual Viking Cup in Columbia, going 2-1. Hilton Head High shut out J.L. Mann 2-0 on Friday, lost 3-2 to Dutch Fork on Saturday and then shut out Nations Ford, 4-0.
The Seahawks host Bluffton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
BASEBALL
Hilton Head Prep 10, Westminster School 0 (5 innings): Freshman Tyler Fox starred for the Dolphins, striking out 10 and holding Westminster to three hits, while going 3 for 3 with a pair of RBIs at the plate.
Jake Martin went 2 for 3 and scored three runs, E.J. Churchich was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Greg Warren was 1 for 2 with two RBIs for Prep (2-0), which hosts Memorial Day at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

BOYS LACROSSE
Academic Magnet 16, Hilton Head Island High 8: Nate Jones scored four goals as Hilton Head High lost for the first time this season. Tucker Roberts added two goals, and Alex Matousek and Harrison Moore each scored once.
Sam Jones made 12 saves and Madison Gayle made one for the Seahawks (2-1), who play at Wando at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
TRACK & FIELD
Battery Creek: Quamecha Morrison had the best finish of the day for the Dolphins at the Sandlapper Classic at West Ashley, as she placed third in the girls high jump.
Shakil Gause had a pair of top-eight finishes, taking fifth in the boys shot put and eighth in the discus. David Partridge was sixth in the boys pole vault at the annual meet, which featured 36 schools.
Other notable efforts for the Dolphins were Arionna Russell's distance of 28 feet, 10 inches in the girls triple jump, and Devin Mitchell's 25-8 in the girls shot put.
The Dolphins host a six-team meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
