Two people were injured in a wreck on Bluffton Parkway that closed lanes of traffic Thursday afternoon.
Bluffton Police Lt. Joe Babkiewicz said a woman driving a silver Ford SUV lost control of the vehicle at about 3:30 p.m. She struck a curb, and then a tree in the center median, causing the vehicle to flip.
The driver, Velinda Morales, of Hardeeville, was taken to Hilton Head Hospital with minor injuries. One of the four passengers was taken to Savannah Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah with minor inujuries.
A child in the backseat was not hurt, Babkiewicsz said.
The wreck closed one eastbound and one westbound lane near the parkway's intersection with Buck Island Road. It was cleared before 4:20 p.m., Babkiewicsz said.
The investigation into what caused the incident is ongoing.
