One killed when car crashed into tree Monday in Jasper County

A driver was killed when a car crashed into a tree on S.C. 336 in Jasper County Monday evening, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

Shirisse Bolden, 29, of Ridgeland, was killed when the 1996 Ford Explorer he was driving struck a tree at about 6:23 p.m. last night. Bolden was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to Sgt. Bob Beres.

Beres said troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
