Beaufort County Councilman Tabor Vaux has endorsed Rep. Andy Patrick, R-Hilton Head, in his run for the 1st Congressional District seat.

"I am excited to endorse Andy Patrick's campaign for Congress," Vaux said in a statement from the Patrick campaign. "Andy has proven to be a strong leader for Beaufort County in Columbia, and I have absolutely no doubt that he will continue to be a strong leader for Lowcountry values in Congress. I am looking forward to working with his campaign, his team, and his growing group of volunteers to help make him our next congressman."

Vaux was elected to council in January, and is the youngest member of the council. He's currently an associate with the Bluffton law firm Vaux & Marscher.
