A suspect has been identified in a shooting on Hilton Head Island that left one man injured Sunday afternoon.
Deputies are looking for Dayne Edward Wright, 25, on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, a "long-standing feud" might have led to Kennard Brown, 31, of Hardeeville being shot at Hilton Head Gardens apartments.
The victim reported he was walking through the complex with a friend on the way to visit an unidentified woman when they heard gunshots. The victim was struck several times and remains in stable condition at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, a news release said.
Wright's last known address is on Cottage Farm Road in Ridgeland, but he is known to frequent the Hilton Head Gardens area, the release said.
Anyone with information can call Sgt. L. Albertin at 843-255-3413 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (274-6372).
