Children's instruction must begin with God

Published: February 20, 2013

I applaud the author of the recent letter, "Teach our children tenets of a moral life."

In his last paragraph, he states that "this all can be worded better than the above," but he was only elaborating on something said ages ago. I submit that the "life rules" he suggested were written a long time ago, with brevity; they're called the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20 in the Holy Bible, or page 317 of the Episcopal "Book of Common Prayer."

I believe we can stop the decay of our American moral fiber and culture if we'll just bring God back to the classroom and into every heart, young and old.
