First congressional candidate John Kuhn, a former state senator, will hold several events throughout Beaufort County Thursday and Saturday.

Thursday's events are:

• 9 - 10:30 a.m.: a meet and greet at Palmetto Bay Sunrise Café, 86 Helmsman Way, Hilton Head Island
• 1 to 3 p.m.: Kuhn will be at the Bluffton Farmers Market, 40 Calhoun Street at Carson Cottages, Bluffton
• 6:30 - 8 p.m.: speech at the Beaufort County GOP meeting, Golden Corral, 1196 Fording Island Road, Bluffton
• 8:15 - 9 p.m.: campaigning at the Beaufort County Young Republicans happy hour, Vineyard 55, 55 Calhoun Street, Bluffton

Saturday's events are:

• Noon to 1 p.m.: attending Bands, Brews and BBQ Festival, downtown Port Royal
• 2 - 4 p.m.: competing in the Red Apron Chili Cook Off, Tanger Center 2, 1414 Fording Island Road, Bluffton
