Enjoy the break in the spring showers this afternoon and tomorrow. Showers will return this weekend as a stalling front slides into the region for the weekend. The heaviest rains will be just north of us from Macon-to-Augusta, and rivers in Georgia will need to be watched for further flooding. A high pressure system caused a chilly morning and has kept us dry this afternoon. Clouds will gather during the afternoon. Those clouds will help with potential radiational cooling tonight, so it won't be quite as cold. Things get messy for the weekend. We're not worried about any winter weather, and there's no threat of severe weather. Theres a slight chance of showers overnight Thursday. Rain becomes likely, with possibly a rumble of thunder, for Friday and Saturday. As each wave comes through, it will wobble the boundary northward for a dry Sunday.
