Drones take out chance for gathering intelligence

info@islandpacket.comFebruary 18, 2013

Recently, one of your letter writers questioned why anyone has issues with the use of drones.

Certainly, their use has several advantages for many different types of missions. In the case of important terrorist leaders, a major disadvantage of drone use is the loss of valuable intelligence obtained when the leader is captured rather than killed.

In such cases, the potential rewards must be weighed against the risks in deciding how best to proceed.
