Ernest James "EJ" Wright Sr., 64, of Burton and husband of Vernell Wright, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant. Wake services are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Jericho A.M.E. Church in Burton. The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Monday at the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Burton.
